The need is great
Living Loud, Inc. was established out of the desire to serve young adults with developmental disabilities in the area of greatest need. So many young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities have nowhere to go and nothing to do when they age out of the school system. The ability to be with friends, to learn and work, to get a paycheck, and to feel valued are opportunities all too often absent. It is our goal at Living Loud, Inc. to give more people the opportunity to be happy, productive members of the community.

What we're doing
Current Programs:
- Helping Hands Bags: In 2016 Living Loud launched our Helping Hands Program. The program began with two organizations that we felt could mutually benefit from the partnership. Aspiro and St. Vincent Children's Hospital. The goal is to provide needed and helpful supplies to parents who experience an unexpected hospital stay with their child. Items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, change for vending machines, slipper socks or flip flops, chapstick, etc. Also bags for the kids who are hospitalized for the first time. A plush blanket, stuffed animal, toy or game, and a book to help make their stay easier. These bags are being assembled by Jordan's friends and other clients who work at Aspiro with items supplied by Living Loud. High School Students in the Special Education program at Menominee Indian High School have helped by tying fleece blankets that are also given to families at the hospital. Hundreds of bags have been delivered to the hospital since we began our program.
- In 2018 we expanded our Helping Hands program to Eastern Wisconsin. Milwaukee Center for Independence assembles and delivers bags to Repairers of the Breach, a shelter mainly for Veterans, in Milwaukee. 50 bags and blankets are distributed every month!
- Recently, an opportunity arose to partner with Jordan's Alma Mater, Syble Hopp School. Students are shopping, assembling, and delivering baskets to House of Hope. The plan is to supply 15 baskets a month to help young mothers set up their own homes when they leave the shelter.
Past Projects:
- Providing a 3 tiered indoor grow light to the Cerebral Palsy, Inc Gardening Program along with various other items to expand their existing program
- Providing canvases and paint to Aspiro, Inc for Clients to paint and decorate their new apartment and other areas of Aspiro's Campus
- Products for Clients at the CP Center's Food and Ag classes to make pet treats to sell.
- A gift of $3000 to The Grounded Cafe to enable the job skills training of more baristas/trainees. You can read our blog for more information on this.
